Description
for the treatment and prevention of entomosis, demodicosis, otodectosis, sarcaptosis, acarosis caused by ixod mites, nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariasis, hookworm, trichocephalosis), as well as for the prevention of dirofilariasis.
Duration of action - 60 days
Composition
Active substance - moxidectin, fipronil
Pharmacological properties and composition
contains fipronil - 10% and moxidectin - 2.5%, and as auxiliary substances: isopropyl alcohol, dimethyl sulfoxide, polyethylene glycol.
*In the drug Inspector Total C, fipronil (10%) and moxidectin (2.5%) are used as active substances - one of the most effective and safe active substances currently used in world veterinary medicine.
*Fipronil belongs to the group of phenylpyrazole compounds, the mechanism of action of which is based on the inhibition of the passage of chlorine ions into the GABA-dependent chloride channels of arthropods and the interruption of the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to the death of ticks and insects.
*Moxidectin is a semi-synthetic compound from the milbemycin group. Having a stimulating effect on the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid and binding to postsynaptic receptors, it causes a violation of muscle innervation, paralysis and death of ectoparasites and nematodes. Moxidectin is significantly safer than ivermectin: in particular, moxidectin is less toxic to collie dogs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Inspector TOTAL C - drops against external and internal parasites in dogs are prescribed to dogs for the treatment and prevention of entomosis, demodicosis, otodectosis, sarcoptosis, in the case of ixodid ticks, intestinal nematodes (toxocaryosis, toxascariasis, uncinariasis, hookworm), as well as regarding heartworm prevention.
The medicine is used by applying drops ("spot-on") to dry, intact skin. Before use, the top of the pipette is broken. The medicine, after spreading the fur, is applied to the animal in inaccessible places for licking, directly on the skin between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck. When treating large animals, the contents of the pipette are applied to the skin in 3-4 places.
Treatment of animals weighing less than 1 kg, pregnant and lactating animals should be carried out with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian.
Animals are treated once to destroy ixodid ticks, fleas, lice and hair eaters and once every four to six weeks to prevent reinfestation during the entire season of insect and tick activity.
In the comprehensive program of prevention and treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas, Inspector Total C is used once a quarter.
For the treatment of otodectosis (ear scabies), the drug is used only once. In the course of treatment, it is recommended to clean the auditory canal of exudate and crusts, and in case of otitis complications, prescribe antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated after 1 month.
For the treatment of sarcoptosis, the drug is used 2 times, with demodicosis - 2-4 times with an interval of 28 days; to prevent a possible invasion - once a month.
Comprehensive treatment of demodicosis with the use of etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic drugs is recommended.
For deworming animals with nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract, the drug is used for treatment once, and for prevention - once a month.
To prevent heartworm disease in disease-prone regions, the drug is used in the spring-summer-autumn period: before the beginning of summer against mosquitoes and mosquitoes (carriers of the causative agent D. Immitis) once, then once a month and the last time in season no earlier than 1 a month after the end of the insect flight. Inspector Total C does not kill sexually mature heartworms, but it does reduce the amount of microfilariae circulating in the blood and can be used safely even in infected animals. The medicine must not be applied to wet or damaged skin, the animal must not be washed within 4 days after treatment with the medicine.
Contraindications and side effects
it is prohibited to use in puppies younger than 7 weeks; animals weighing less than 1 kg, pregnant and lactating animals should be treated with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian.
