Shape matters in grooming. A round pin pad isn't just a design choice — it's a functional one. The curved edge of the Nunbell Round Slicker Brush Large allows it to follow the natural contours of your pet's body more naturally than a flat rectangular pad, making it particularly effective for reaching the chest, legs, belly, and face without awkward angles or missed patches. The same fine wire pins. The same detangling, shedding-reduction, coat-smoothing performance. A shape that works with your pet's body, not against it. Available in Green, Pink, and Blue.

## Why the Nunbell Round Slicker Brush Large Is the Right Grooming Tool for Your Pet

  • Round pin pad for contour-following grooming — The curved edge naturally follows the shape of your pet's body, maintaining consistent pin contact across rounded areas like the chest, shoulders, legs, and belly — areas where flat brushes often lose contact.
  • Fine wire pins on a flexible pad — Densely packed, fine wire pins penetrate the coat to reach the undercoat, lifting loose hair, breaking up tangles, and smoothing the topcoat efficiently.
  • Flexible pad design — The pin pad flexes to adapt to body contours, ensuring even pressure and effective grooming across every area of the coat.
  • Removes loose hair and reduces shedding — Lifts dead, loose hair from both the topcoat and undercoat before it ends up on your furniture, clothing, and floors.
  • Detangles knots and light matting — Effective on minor tangles and early-stage matting — work gently from the tips inward to avoid pulling.
  • Leaves the coat smooth and finished — The fine pins smooth the coat after detangling, giving a clean, polished finish.
  • Large format for thorough coverage — Despite the round shape, the large pad size ensures efficient coverage across the full body of medium and large pets.
  • Three colors — Green, Pink, and Blue. Choose your preference or match your grooming kit.

## Round vs. Square — Which Should You Choose?

Both the Nunbell Round and Square Slicker Brushes are large-format, fine-pin slicker brushes at the same price point. The difference is in the use case:

Round Slicker Brush Square Slicker Brush
Best for Contoured areas, cats, precise grooming Flat body areas, large breeds, speed
Pad shape Round — follows body curves naturally Square — maximizes flat surface coverage
Ideal for Chest, legs, belly, face, smaller pets Back, sides, full-body on large dogs
Feel More precise, maneuverable Faster, broader coverage

Many owners use both — the Square for the main body, the Round for finishing and detail work.

## Product Details & Features

How It Works: The Nunbell Round Slicker Brush Large uses a round pad of fine, closely spaced wire pins to penetrate the coat and work through tangles, loose hair, and light matting. The round format allows the brush to be rotated and angled more freely during grooming, making it easier to work around the body's natural curves and reach areas that flat brushes struggle with.

Best Used For:

  • Cats of all coat lengths — the round format is particularly cat-friendly
  • Medium and large dog breeds, especially for detail and finishing work
  • Grooming curved body areas: chest, legs, belly, face, neck
  • Pets who are sensitive to grooming — the round shape is often perceived as less intimidating
  • Finishing pass after using a square or rectangular slicker brush

How to Use:

  1. Start at the neck and work toward the tail in the direction of hair growth
  2. Use the round edge to follow body contours — rotate the brush as needed to maintain contact
  3. For tangles, work from the tip of the hair inward, gradually moving closer to the skin
  4. Use short, gentle strokes on sensitive areas (belly, legs, face)
  5. Remove collected hair from the brush pad after each section
  6. Reward your pet after grooming to build a positive association

Grooming Frequency:

  • Medium coats: 2–3 times per week
  • Long or double coats: 3–5 times per week, or daily during heavy shedding
